4 Rowers pen Letter of Intent

North Allegheny Rowing is thrilled to announce that four seniors have signed national letters of intent with Division 1 rowing programs for Fall 2025. Lauren Keyser signed with West Virginia University while Abigail Berger, Madison Lambert, and Katherine Zema all officially committed to Duquesne University.
Keyser has been a standout leader as a coxswain for the past 4 years. Her career highlights include: Gold in the Varsity 8+ at Pittsburgh Sprints 2024; leading the Novice 8+ to a thrilling A Final finish at Midwest Scholastic Championships 2024; two top six finishes in the Varsity 8+ coming in fifth place at the Head of Ohio 2024 and sixth place at the Head of Muskingum Regatta 2024. Keyser was named as a 2024 MSRA Scholastic Honor Roll Honorable Mention. She intends to major in Biomedical Laboratory Diagnostics at WVU.
Lambert has been a key member of the team these last 3 years and is known for her dedication and hard-work. She earned MSRA 1st Sweep All-Region in 2024, and some of Lambert’s career highlights include: Gold in the 4x at Head of the Muskingum 2024; 1st in 2x at Head of the Ohio 2023; Silver at the Hoover Fall Classic 2023 in the 2x; 1st in JV 4x at Pittsburgh Sprints 2024; Silver in the 4x at Head of the Ohio 2024; and Bronze in the 4x at the Blake Haxton Regatta 2024. While continuing her rowing career, Lambert will be majoring in Biochemistry at Duquesne.
A 5-year team member, Berger is known for her positivity and infectious energy. She’s been a key part of the Varsity 4+ crew for the 2024-25 season, with a 10th place finish at Head of the Ohio. Additional career highlights for Berger include Silver in the Novice 4x+ at Huron River Sprints 2024; 1st in the Novice 8+ at Pittsburgh Sprints 2024; and 4th in the Novice 4x+ at Midwest Scholastic Championships 2024. Berger will be pursuing her degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Duquesne.
As team captain and 5-year member, Zema has proven herself as a true leader both on and off the water. With three varsity letters, some of her impressive career highlights include: 2024 MSRA All-Region 2nd Sculling Team, Silver in the 2x and Bronze in the 4x at Midwest Scholastic Championships 2024; 2nd in the 4x at the Head of the Ohio in 2023 and 2024; Gold in the 4x at Head of the Muskingum 2024; and 2024 MSRA Scholastic Honor Roll. Zema will be pursuing her degree in Accounting at Duquesne while continuing her rowing career at the collegiate level.
