North Allegheny Rowing opened its 2025 fall racing season on Sunday, October 5 at the Head of the Ohio, competing on the 4,100-meter course along the Allegheny River in downtown Pittsburgh. With 18 total entries, the Tigers showed determination across all categories on a day blessed with warm weather, clear skies, and flat water, ideal racing conditions.

The team’s day began with the Women’s U19 4x (Alexandra Edfors, Lydia Humphrey, Lucy Hughes, Natalie Helffrich), who placed 5th in a competitive field. Following them, Abby Greiner and Jocelyn Munroe raced in the Women’s U17 2x, finishing 7th.

The Men’s Novice 8+ (Ethan Murick, Maxx Buffat, Finn Maguire, Jace Laker, Max Karn, Corrado Salvatore, Bryce Munroe, Wyatt Johansen, and coxswain Elise Kreiling), a combination of both novice 4+ lineups, capped off a strong debut for North Allegheny’s newest rowers with a 3rd place result, earning another medal and demonstrating strong team potential moving forward.
