The NA Tigers are pleased to announce Coach Lindsay Feltz was named the MSRA 2024 Men’s Assistant Coach of the Year!
Over the past six years, Lindsay has worked to prepare North Allegheny’s novice athletes to successfully join the JV squad in their second year not just technically, but also with a love of rowing. “She is a compassionate and fair person who athletes turn to for honest, and constructive support.” She works to develop athletes who “hold one another accountable…[and] encourage one another to reach individual and team goals” both on and off the water. An athlete recognized that Lindsay’s “ability to keep [them] engaged with the sport and ignite a newfound passion…is something [they] are eternally grateful for. Lindsay’s coaching has not only elevated [their] performance but also had a profound and lasting impact on [their] life.” While learning the mechanics of rowing in the novice year is so important to a team in their future years with the team, an added task assigned to the novice coach is teaching strangers to work together, which Lindsay has accomplished, as recognized again by her athletes and fellow coaches.
